Primary Responsibilities:
Used expertise in web design and web technologies to enhance the Library’s website and web-based tools.
Acted as the expert and liaison for all library information systems.

REFERENCE LIBRARIAN

Provided reference services to all 24 neighborhood branches throughout the city of Boston.

DIGITIZATION SPECIALIST & PROJECT ARCHIVIST
Primary Responsibilities:
Developed a series of best practices for the handling and repair of the documents.
Oversaw the digitization process & overall workflows for both rare, fragile and original documents from the Nuremberg Trials as well as more commonplace publications on legal precedent for the Free The Law project.

USER EXPERIENCE ANALYST
Developed and curated a collection of hundreds of images to be cataloged by users of the Metadata Games platform.
Collaborated with developers to re-design the games to guarantee maximum metadata output and the best user experience.
Participated in outreach to high-profile members of the library and information technology community to encourage collaboration and promotion.
Planned & executed a usability study to test the accuracy of user-generated metadata.

DIGITAL PROJECTS LIAISON
Researched and located valuable books, historical documents, photographs, newspapers etc. in libraries throughout Massachusetts, then acquired said documents for free digitization services via a generous LSTA grant.
Answered questions from any and all participating librarians about the care their books would receive, copyright issues etc.

VISITING SPECIAL COLLECTIONS FELLOW
Conducted research projects and designed research-oriented displays for the public.
Catalogued donations and made recommendations for library acquisitions.
Assisted with the creation of a digital archive of priceless and historic manuscripts.
Invigilated library fellows (duties included locating materials to assist research and answering any questions about the collection and/or specific texts.)
Led tours of the library for the visiting public.
